According to Mundo Deportivo, Bernardo Silva is set to hold talks with Manchester City about his future, as he awaits an offer from Barcelona.
What’s the story?
Well, this would be a huge loss for Pep Guardiola and the Citizens.
Mundo Deportivo believe the £150,000-a-week man is keen on a move to the Camp Nou, although he wants to ensure he doesn’t leave the Etihad Stadium by burning any bridges.
It is said that Silva asked to leave Manchester City last summer, when he was a target for Arsenal, although Guardiola ended up keeping him and went on to win the Premier League title.
Now, despite that, the Portugal international still wants to leave due to personal reasons.

Mundo Deportivo explain how Silva wants to be closer to his family, while he has also just become engaged to a woman who loves the city of Barcelona, hence why he wants to join Xavi in Spain.
Interestingly, the Spanish news outlet add that the 27-year-old is Barcelona’s first choice to replace Frenkie de Jong, if the Dutchman leaves for Manchester United.
In 50 appearances last season, Silva scored 13 goals, while also providing seven assists.
Manchester City cannot lose Bernardo Silva to Barcelona

In our view, it would be a major setback for Guardiola to lose Silva.
The £43m man is one of the best players in the Premier League, and at the age of just 27, he still has many years left at the highest level.
Of course, if he wants to be closer to his family, there isn’t much Manchester City can do about that, although they should at least attempt to improve his contract before accepting his wish to leave.

Alternatively, Guardiola could try to arrange a swap deal of some kind, if he does have to let Silva leave.
One player Manchester City are said to be keen on signing is Ronald Araujo, who has shone in the centre of defence for Barcelona recently.
Whatever happens, it would be a real blow to lose Silva this summer – only time will tell what happens.
