Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have made a bid for Arsenal target and Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, according to TuttoJuve.
TuttoJuve have reported that Tottenham have offered €47 million (£40.20 million) for Manchester City striker Jesus.
This report follows a report in The Sun which claimed that Arsenal are willing to pay the Brazil international striker £190,000 per week as salary to convince him to move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The Mirror reported last month that Juventus are keen on the 25-year-old striker.
Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur for Gabriel Jesus?
In our view, Arsenal will have to step up their pursuit of Gabriel Jesus, now that Tottenham have made a bid.
Spurs will have Champions League football next season, while Arsenal will play in the Europa League.
However, Tottenham have one of the best strikers in Harry Kane, and there is also Son Heung-min, who jointly won the Premier League Golden Boot award with Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah this past season.
Arsenal need to sign at least one top-quality striker in the summer transfer window, and Jesus would get more playing time at the Emirates Stadium than he would at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
