Barcelona want to sign Raphinha and may still hope to send defender Oscar Mingueza to Leeds United as part of the deal.
Leeds star Raphinha was always going to be in demand this summer whether the Whites stayed in the Premier League or not.
Jesse Marsch’s men did stay up and Raphinha played a key role by scoring in the crucial win over Brentford on the final day of the season.
Given his dreams of playing in the World Cup for Brazil later this year, Raphinha won’t want to be involved in another relegation battle.
Leeds are making moves to strengthen their squad and stop that from happening, but Barcelona are desperate to sign Raphinha.
Barcelona want to sign Raphinha
This rumour has been doing the rounds for months now and it isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
SPORT now claim that Barcelona don’t want to go near Leeds’ asking price of around €65million (£56million).
They want to bring the price down to €40million (£34million) and still hope to include defender Mingueza in the deal.
Mundo Deportivo reported in April that Mingueza wouldn’t even consider signing for Leeds this summer even though they wanted him.
Mingueza, 23, has come up through the Barcelona ranks and and has now made almost 70 first-team appearances for the club.

Primarily a centre back who can fill in at right back, Mingueza is never going to be a key player at the Camp Nou.
Yet he seemingly had little interest and Leeds and whilst Barcelona still hope to send him to Elland Road, it’s unclear whether his stance has changed.
This comes just as SPORT claim that Mingueza has been offered to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Barcelona want to sign Ruben Neves from Wolves but it’s familiar tale; they don’t want to pay their asking price and are trying part-exchange deals.
Mingueza, Riqui Puig and Martin Braithwaite have all been offered to Wolves but they just aren’t interested.
With Wolves saying no to Mingueza whilst he seemingly said no to Leeds, both potential deals are in danger of collapsing.
