Rasmus Kristensen has told Danish outlet Bold that he does not need to ‘Google’ Leeds United, amid a potential move to Elland Road. Reports claim he is set to sign a five-year deal at Elland Road.

Kristensen, 24, has emerged as a potential signing for Leeds this summer. It comes after Leeds have already done business with Kristensen’s RedBull Salzburg – signing Brenden Aaronson for a fee of £24million.

Of course, Kristensen worked under current Leeds boss Jesse Marsch at Salzburg – previously being rated as one of the Austrian side’s best players by Marsch. Reports say a five-year deal is on the table.

Having come on for Denmark on Friday night, with France leading 1-0, Kristensen helped his side produce a brilliant comeback to win 2-1. He was asked after the match, about a move to Elland Road.

“No [not spoken to Leeds] in last few days. Not spoken to my agent recently. It may be that he’s waiting to tell me something so I can stay focused. I have asked to be barred from getting information until I have to make a choice.

“I do not need to google Leeds. Former teammate, my former coach who has switched to them. A huge club, a traditional club. It is the world’s best league, and it will be huge to get a foot in there.”

Kristensen on Leeds move: All signs point to Elland Road

What can we take from Kristensen’s comments? Well, the fact he has told his agent not to bother him about a move shows that things could be happening behind the scenes – even if he has not been given the choice.

But Kristensen states he wants a move to the Premier League. He shows admiration to Aaronson and Marsch. He talks up the history of Leeds. It shows he would be open to joining Leeds, after achieving safety.

It might be that talks accelerate when he finishes international duty with Denmark. The Danes face Austria on Monday (6th), Croatia next Friday (10th) and Austria again (13th). Then, a move could happen.
