Jeunes Footeux claim RedBull Salzburg defender Rasmus Kristensen will sign a five-year deal with Leeds and only a few details remain. He is expected to travel to Leeds soon and undergo a medical.
Kristensen, 24, enjoyed a wonderful campaign with Salzburg – the club he joined during Jesse Marsch’s reign in 2019. He had a hand in 18 goals from right-back, scoring 10 and creating eight in his 44 games.
Such form has caught the attention of Leeds. The Whites have a solid working relationship with Salzburg given Marsch’s tenure in Austria – and the deal for Brenden Aaronson. Kristensen seems to be next.

Recent reports claim that Leeds have beaten Brentford in the race to land the Denmark international. A fee of £10million is on the table, and now, JF say Kristensen will pen a contract until June 2027.

What does it mean for Luke Ayling? The ex-Arsenal defender has been a mainstay for Leeds since joining the club, becoming one of the main players – and even vice captain when Liam Cooper has been injured.
Ayling is one of the examples at Leeds of players that have gone from mediocre Championship player, to becoming a proven Premier League player. Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Patrick Bamford and most definitely, Ayling.
But Kristensen is a proper player. A powerhouse, strong, fast, good in the air, defensively solid but excellent going forward. To produce 18 goal involvements is stunning, even starring in the Champions League.
Ayling may now have to accept becoming second-choice at Elland Road if Kristensen does complete a move to Leeds. A reunion between Marsch and Kristensen is now on the cards and likely to happen.
