Watford are expecting West Ham to move for Emmanuel Dennis – but they hope to keep hold of Liverpool target Joao Pedro.

The Hornets suffered relegation from the Premier League once again this season, failing to really learn from past mistakes.

Scattergun recruitment and three different managers ultimately resulted in Watford returning to the Championship.

That may leave Watford vulnerable to losing key players – and a couple of them are attracting major interest.

Watford are expecting West Ham to move for Emmanuel Dennis

The Daily Mail report that Watford expect West Ham to make a move to sign Nigerian attacker Emmanuel Dennis this summer.

Watford also think Brentford and Crystal Palace will be making moves for Dennis this summer.

Dennis joined Watford from Club Brugge last summer and made a big impact in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old notched 10 goals and six assists in 33 games, becoming a favourite of Fantasy Football players everywhere.

Hailed as ‘fast’ by Claudio Ranieri, Dennis could be the versatile attacker West Ham are seeking to support Michail Antonio.

The same report claims that whilst Dennis could go, Watford have hope that Joao Pedro will be staying.

The Brazilian is believed to be on Liverpool’s radar as they seek a versatile forward with Sadio Mane potentially on his way out.

The 20-year-old only scored three times in 28 Premier League games this past season but clearly has major potential.

Joao Pedro is an exciting talent and showed promise for the Hornets, but Watford seemingly believe that he can be talked into staying put.

That may be possible if Liverpool don’t come calling, but it would be hard to turn down the Reds for another Championship campaign.

Watford won’t want to lose both Dennis and Joao Pedro, but their futures at Vicarage Road seem a little uncertain right now.
