Liverpool fancy Joao Pedro as they consider making a move for the Watford talent as a replacement for Sadio Mane this summer.
Liverpool were left heartbroken in Paris on Saturday night as they lost 1-0 to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
It could now get even worse for Liverpool as attacker Sadio Mane seemingly wants to leave the club this summer.
Mane has just one year left on his contract and Liverpool may feel that the right decision is to cash in before he leaves for nothing.
Mane will need to be replaced at Liverpool and the Reds are looking towards a number of possible signings.
Liverpool fancy Joao Pedro
The Daily Mail claim that a number of players are on Liverpool’s radar ahead of potential summer bids.
One name mentioned is that of Joao Pedro, who has suffered relegation with Watford for the second time in three seasons.
It’s worth noting that reports from Brazil back in 2019 suggested that Liverpool were hoping to sign Joao Pedro from Fluminense.
Watford won the race then but Liverpool appear to still have Joao Pedro on their radar.
The 20-year-old played 28 times in the Premier League this past season, notching just three goals and one assist.
Yet having seen Joao Pedro show promise in the Championship too, Liverpool may sense huge potential in the youngster.

Hailed as a ‘lovely player’ and ‘brilliant’ by Ben Foster having played together at Watford, it seems that Joao Pedro has a big future ahead of him.
Primarily a striker, Joao Pedro has also played in from the left flank – just like Mane has with Liverpool.
The one problem for Liverpool would be that Joao Pedro is still a kid, still learning his craft at the highest level.
Mane on the other hand is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League and Champions League.
Backing the Brazilian to replace Mane would be a huge gamble for Liverpool, even if they do believe that he can become a star in the future.
Liverpool aren’t alone in liking Joao Pedro though as Benfica also want him – possibly as a replacement for Reds target Darwin Nunez.
