Nottingham Forest are now ‘very confident’ that Brennan Johnson will sign a new long-term deal, amid interest from Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United, according to 90min.
90min have reported that now that Forest have won promotion to the Premier League, the Reds are very confident that Johnson will not leave in the summer transfer window.
The Reds will now offer the 21-year-old Wales international forward a new deal, with his current contract due to run out in 2023.
Forest are also planning to hand new deals to Scott McKenna and Joe Worrall, according to the report.
The Daily Mail reported in April that Leeds, Newcastle and Brentford are keen on securing the services of Johnson in the summer transfer window.

Brennan Johnson blow for Leeds United and Newcastle United
In our view, Nottingham Forest reportedly being confident about keeping Brennan Johnson is a blow for Leeds United and Newcastle United.
The 21-year-old is a very promising and exciting young attacker who can play as a winger or as a forward.
Johnson is also a Wales international, and he would have been a brilliant signing for Leeds or Newcastle for years to come.
The winger made 47 starts and two substitute appearances in the Championship for Forest this past season.
Johnson scored 18 goals and gave 10 assists in those games.
