Tottenham Hotspur have held new talks with former Spurs playmaker and Brentford star Christian Eriksen, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has told GiveMeSport that Tottenham ‘definitely’ want to sign Eriksen on a free transfer this summer.
Tottenham reportedly held new talks with the 30-year-old Denmark international attacking midfielder last week.
Eriksen is out of contract at Brentford this summer, having joined the Premier League club on a free transfer in January 2022.
The Dane moved to Tottenham from Ajax in 2013 and left for Inter Milan in 2020.
Eriksen worked with current Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte at Inter and won the Serie A title in 2020-21.

Tottenham Hotspur keen on Christian Eriksen
Jones told GiveMeSport: “In terms of Christian Eriksen, it is definitely still something that’s on their horizon. “
There were new talks last week, just to check where his mindset was at and seeing what Brentford’s offer was to him.
“Tottenham definitely want Eriksen back, especially now they have got Champions League football. Usually you say no going back, but with Eriksen that is not how they’re thinking.”
Good signing for Spurs?
In our view, Christian Eriksen would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old was a huge success during his time at Tottenham and would return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a free transfer.
Spurs will play in the Champions League next season, and a player of Eriksen’s quality would enhance their chances of succeeding in the competition.
And, as we saw in the second half of this past season, the Dane is still at the top of his game.
Eriksen scored one goal and gave four assists in 10 Premier League starts for the Bees.
