Arsenal want Max Aarons – and Norwich City are now preparing to replace the right back during this summer’s transfer window.

Norwich are once again dropping back down to the Championship after failing to stay in the Premier League.

The Canaries have become the classic yo-yo club in recent times, securing promotions but then immediately suffering relegations.

Dean Smith’s men are still searching for the right formula and they may end up selling players this summer to reinvest.

One of them could be right back Aarons, who is attracting Premier League interest.

Arsenal want Max Aarons

TEAMtalk now report that Norwich are preparing for Aarons to leave the club this summer.

It’s stated that three Premier League clubs are particularly interested in signing Aarons.

Manchester City are ‘long-term’ admirers of Aarons and are keeping tabs on hims situation whilst rivals Manchester United are keen too.

The report adds that Arsenal are also keen on Aarons as they consider their right back options.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has impressed in his first season at the club but suffered injury problems in 2022 and is maybe seen as a more defensive right back.

Cedric Soares was decent cover but Arsenal have been linked with more expansive, attacking right backs like Djed Spence.

Aarons fits a similar kind of bill for Arsenal and The Sun claim that he is valued at around £20million.

Aarons, 22, has racked up more than 150 appearances for Norwich now, with 70 of them coming in the Premier League.

The right back was backed to become a star some years ago but has stalled a little at Norwich.

It may now be time for Aarons to leave Norwich and attempt to progress elsewhere, and the Canaries seem to be planning for his departure.

Whether Arsenal make a move may depend on Cedric’s future, which currently looks to be secure – and that may see Aarons head elsewhere.
