Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported in Anfield Watch in April 2022 that Liverpool are interested in signing the Brazil international winger in the summer transfer window.

In our opinion, Raphinha reportedly wishing to move to only Barcelona is a blow for Liverpool and West Ham in their quest to sign the 25-year-old winger in the summer transfer window.
Barcelona are a massive club and a global brand, and if they are able to put together the money that Leeds would want for the Brazil international, then a transfer could well happen this summer.
Yes, Liverpool have a strong attacking unit and West Ham are doing well in attack, but a player of the quality of Raphinha – described as “unbelievable” by former Arsenal star Paul Merson on Sky Sports in March – would make the Reds and the Hammers stronger and more potent in attack.
