Ruben Neves has suggested to The Athletic that he has played his last game for Wolverhampton Wanderers amid interest from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal are among the clubs interested in signing Neves from Premier League rivals Wolves in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.
Manchester United, Juventus and Barcelona are also claimed to be keen on securing the services of the Portugal international midfielder.
Wolves reportedly want £70 million for the 25-year-old Portugal international midfielder.
Arsenal target Ruben Neves on Wolverhampton Wanderers future
Ruben told The Athletic after Wolves’ match against Liverpool on Sunday: “Everyone knows about what football is about, what our lives are about.
“Our careers are really short, we need to take the opportunities we have. Of course, all of us have dreams and we need to live those dreams in a short space of time. Let’s see what happens. I cannot say too much about it.”
The midfielder added: “If I go it would be really hard for me and my family. But, as I told you, we have dreams to live in a short space of time.
“And if anything happens, that’s why I was so emotional the last game at home because I don’t know how it’s going to be. If it was my last game it was really important.
“But, as I told you, I don’t know anything yet. So, for now, I’m just thinking of my holidays and the national team.”

Could a Gunners transfer happen?
In our opinion, Arsenal failing to finish in the Premier League top four this season could affect their chances of signing Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 25-year-old has done well for Wolves over the years and has also played in the Europa League with the Wanderers.
Now surely the next step in Neves’s career would be to join a club who challenge for top honours and titles.
Neves is still only 25 and his best years are ahead of him, and he will surely look at a club who are ready to win titles and compete in the Champions League.
