After Tottenham’s win on Sunday, Antonio Conte staying at Spurs is becoming a lot more realistic.
Particularly in light of the Italian’s post-match message on Instagram.
Tottenham hammered Norwich City 5-0 at Carrow Road to book their place in the Champions League next season.
Earlier this year, Conte claimed that a top-four finish would represent a title for the Lilywhites, given what a difficult season it had been in North London.
The former Inter Milan and Chelsea coach only arrived in November following the dismissal of Nuno Espirito Santo.
But despite only being Tottenham manager for around seven months, Conte has already found himself linked with a sudden departure on a number of occasion.
But going by Conte’s Instagram message, staying at Spurs is looking a good bet.
After the Norwich victory, the no-nonsense coach wrote about how it was a difficult season for the Lilywhites but everybody pulled together in the same direction to complete the mission of Champions League qualification.
Oh, and he also finished the comments by writing, ‘Come on you Spurs’.
Antonio Conte staying at Spurs?
Honestly, probably.
His message – and writing ‘come on you Spurs’ – wasn’t the sentiment of somebody desperate to leave.
Leaving might still happen if chairman Daniel Levy doesn’t satisfy him in the transfer market but, for now, Conte is acting and spoken like somebody committed to the Tottenham cause and what a massive boost it is if he’s at the helm for when they make their Champions League return.
