According to Calciomercato, Paris Saint-Germain have started talks with Antonio Conte as they look to lure the Italian away from Tottenham.
What’s the story?
Well, this is significant news for Tottenham.
Calciomercato believe PSG are planning to replace Mauricio Pochettino after the humiliating 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Conte is said to be fascinated by the prospect of taking over at the Parc des Princes, as discussions with the French giants begin.
Interestingly, Spurs don’t have much power in the situation.
Calciomercato state that Conte – who earns £250,000-a-week in N17 – has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave Tottenham at the end of the season, if he chooses to do so.
Therefore, if he wants to join PSG, Daniel Levy is powerless to stop him.
By all accounts, Conte joining the Parisians seems very likely.
Tottenham should arrange Antonio Conte swap deal

Obviously, if this move goes ahead, Pochettino will be unemployed.
In our view, we think Levy should try to arrange a managerial swap, and bring the Argentine back to Hotspur Way.
Since Pochettino was sacked, Spurs have lost a lot of character and identity.

The appointments of José Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo were terrible decisions, and the supporters are now losing patience.
So, if Pochettino was brought back to the Premier League, a man who is loved by the Spurs fans, it would be a good start to turning things around.
Keep an eye on this saga, as we wouldn’t be surprised to see Conte join PSG.
