According to Foot Mercato, Tottenham are keen to bring Arsenal target Robert Lewandowski to the Premier League and pair him with Harry Kane.

What’s the story?

Well, this would be quite the signing for Spurs, to say the very least.

Foot Mercato believe Antonio Conte is hoping to bring the 33-year-old to N17, although he faces fierce competition.

Liverpool are said to have held talks with Lewandowski, as Jürgen Klopp eyes a reunion with the best player he’s ever coached – his words, not ours.

Elsewhere, Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign the Poland international, while Barcelona are also keen on securing his signature.

It comes after Hasan Salihamidžić – Director of Football at Bayern Munich – revealed that Lewandowski has rejected a new deal, and would like to leave the Allianz Arena.

The Tottenham target’s current terms expire in June 2023, so if Bayern Munich fail to sell their No.9 this summer, they will lose him for nothing.

So far this season, Lewandowski has amazingly scored 50 goals in 46 appearances, while also providing seven assists.

Arsenal may end up very jealous of Tottenham

In our view, Mikel Arteta could soon be looking at Conte’s frontline full of jealousy.

Unless Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah sign new contracts before June 30th, Arsenal will have the inexperienced Folarin Balogun as their only striking option.

Over in N17, however, Spurs could have the likes of Kane, Heung-min Son and Lewandowski, a frontline good enough to rival any attacking trio on the planet.

After all, Lewandowski has scored 509 goals throughout his career, while Kane has netted 274.

In Son’s case, the South Korean has scored 194 career goals.

So, Conte could embark on the 2022/23 campaign with an attack boasting a combined 977 goals, which is a ridiculous tally when you stop and think about it.

Keep an eye on this saga, as it seems Lewandowski will be leaving Bayern Munich this summer.
