Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha is ready to move to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The report in the Italian publication has claimed that Strakosha is ‘ready for Newcastle’.
The 27-year-old Albania international goalkeeper is out of contract at Lazio this summer.
Would Thomas Strakosha be a good signing for Newcastle United?
In our opinion, Thomas Strakosha would be a good signing for Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
The Albania international goalkeeper would arrive at St. James’ Park as a free agent.

Yes, there might be a signing-on fee, but that is unlikely to be huge.
Strakosha – who “has extraordinary athleticism” and is “tenacious”, according to former Lazio assistant manager Alberto Bollini in Lazio Press in June 2020 – has been at the Italian club since 2012 and is hugely experienced.
The goalkeeper made 22 appearances in Serie A this season.
Signing such as experienced player who is only 27 on a free transfer would be a great piece of business from PIF.
Martin Dubravka is the first-choice goalkeeper at Newcastle at the moment, but the Slovakia international is 33 now.
Newcastle need to look to the future.
PIF have grand plans for the future, and changing the squad for the better starts this summer.
