Premier League outfit West Ham United want Adam Hlozek and are set to make a £17 million bid for Sparta Prague’s Czech Republic international, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb

Last year, The Athletic reported that Hammers boss David Moyes had doubts as to whether an 18-year-old centre-forward could adapt to the pressures of English football.

10 months on, and with another stunning season under his belt, it seems that the Europa League semi-finalists have come to the conclusion that Hlozek is a risk worth taking.

He might not have found the net quite so regularly as in the previous campaign, netting 12 this term. But that, coupled with an excellent tally of 15 assists, paints the picture of a versatile, highly technical forward.

One who is equally capable creating chances as he is finishing them himself.

“Adam is an extraordinary player,” the Czech international’s agent, Pavel Paska, explains.

“(Leaving) is possible. But it will always depend on the current situation whether Sparta succeeds in its goals or not.”

West Ham want Adam Hlozek

Paska admitted last year that Sparta Prague would be willing to accept a fee in the region of £15 million.

After another excellent season in the Czech capital – and with clubs such as Napoli, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund taking an interest – Hlozek’s price-tag has understandably risen.

And it remains to be seen whether Sparta, who finished third in 2021/22, are willing to accept a reported £17 million offer from West Ham.

The recent takeover by Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky could be a major factor in the Hammers firming up their interest in one of Europe’s most exciting teenage forwards.

What’s more, West Ham have had some real success in the Czech market recently, even if Alex Kral has been unable to emulate the impact of Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek.

West Ham have also been linked with Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic, Union Berlin’s Taiwo Awoniyi and Everton misfit Moise Kean.
