According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have decided to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Crystal Palace keen on re-signing the defender.

What’s the story?

Well, it was said that Patrick Vieira hopes to bring the £83,000-a-week man back to Selhurst Park this summer.

Now, Crystal Palace have received a huge boost, as Erik ten Hag has decided that Wan-Bissaka does not fit into his plans at Old Trafford.

It comes after the Dutchman finally had a proper look at what he will inherit from Ralf Rangnick, following the end of the season for Ajax.

Ten Hag arrived in London on Wednesday, and began assessing his squad with Assistant Manager Mitchell van der Gaag.

Sky Sports believe the Red Devils would prefer a permanent deal for the 24-year-old, although they would be open to a loan deal – as long as there is an obligation to buy.

So far this season, Wan-Bissaka – who actually supports Crystal Palace – has made 26 appearances in all competitions, although Diogo Dalot has often been preferred at right-back under Rangnick.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will surely return to Crystal Palace

In our view, Wan-Bissaka would be a fool not to rejoin Crystal Palace.

For one, the south Londoners are interested in signing him, which should make him feel wanted after a period in the cold at Manchester United.

Secondly, Selhurst Park represents a calm, stable environment with supportive fans, who will help Wan-Bissaka rediscover his best form.

It happened after Manchester United wasted Wilfried Zaha’s talents, and we’re confident it will happen again if the right-back returns.

In a backline which already consists of gems such as Tyrick Mitchell, Marc Guéhi and Joachim Andersen, Crystal Palace would become even more formidable with their Academy graduate back in the side.

Keep an eye on this saga, as we’re confident a deal will materialise.
