According to The Athletic, Crystal Palace are considering a move to re-sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United this summer.

What’s the story?

Well, this would be a sensational move from Crystal Palace.

The south Londoners sold Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United for a sum of £50m back in June 2019, making him their club-record sale.

However, things have gone sour for the 24-year-old at Old Trafford, and he has been used sporadically by Ralf Rangnick this season.

The £83,000-a-week man was left out of the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, and has spent eight of the last 12 Premier League outings on the bench.

Now, Crystal Palace are thinking about bringing him back to Selhurst Park.

The Athletic believe Erik ten Hag is still yet to assess his squad, and the Dutchman may prefer to keep Wan-Bissaka.

However, the Eagles are lurking, and look ready to pounce if the 52-year-old decides he doesn’t want the right-back to stay.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka should return to Crystal Palace

Just like they almost did with Wilfried Zaha, Manchester United are close to ruining another of Crystal Palace’s blossoming Academy graduates.

Wan-Bissaka looks a shadow of the player who was topping defensive statistics for the entire Premier League at Selhurst Park.

The Red Devils have sapped the confidence from him, and now, he must return to the place where he made his name.

In our view, this move will happen – Wan-Bissaka has already admitted he’s a Crystal Palace fan, so that could be a big factor.

For Patrick Vieira, it will also be very tempting to add the Englishman to a back four consisting of Tyrick Mitchell, Marc Guéhi and Joachim Andersen.

With Wan-Bissaka on the right of that trio, we believe few attackers will enjoy playing against Crystal Palace.

Keep an eye on this situation, as it could all depend on what Ten Hag decides to do upon his arrival at Old Trafford.
