Jermaine Jenas has told BBC Sport that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte could transform Ryan Sessegnon into a £50 million player.

The former Tottenham midfielder has been impressed by how Sessegnon has done under Conte at Spurs this season.

The 21-year-old can operate as a left-back or as a left-winger, but under Conte, he has been playing as a left wing-back.

Sessegnon has made 12 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham this season.

The youngster, who cost Spurs £25 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Fulham, has given two assists in those games.

Jenas told BBC Sport: “For example, Ben Davies just looks completely different under Conte and so does Ryan Sessegnon – by the time Conte is finished with him, you are probably looking at a £40m or £50m player.”

Exciting

In our opinion, Sessegnon is flourishing under Conte as a left wing-back, and the Tottenham player is only going to grow.

After all, Sessegnon is only 21.

The England Under-21 international is going to get better and improve his game further in the coming years.

Conte is a world-class manager, and under the Tottenham boss, Sessegnon would learn a lot more about the game.

Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, and Sessegnon is playing his role in that quest.
