Darren Bent has stated that he could see the prospect of Robert Lewandowski signing for Liverpool this summer.

The Bayern Munich star has been the subject of transfer news ahead of the 33-year-old’s contract running out in 2023.

There is talk that Barcelona could land the Poland international talents, as he helped Bayern win a tenth consecutive Bundesliga title this season.

Jurgen Klopp has, of course, worked with Lewandowski before, so he knows the trophy-laden striker’s game, inside and out.

Nonetheless, when former striker Bent and host, Andy Goldstein, spoke about what Lewandowski will do this summer, this is what they had to say on talkSPORT.

“I could see him going to Liverpool,” said Goldstein. “Can you see that happening?

Bent added: “Yeah, for what, one year. I could see that happening.”

Goldstein, who is a Manchester United fan, added in a sarcastic manner “Why have I said that. They are going to go and buy him now because I am responsible for transfers.”

Manchester City sign Haaland…. Liverpool sign Lewandowski?

Well, to no one’s surprise, Manchester City have got the chequebook out once more after getting knocked out in the Champions League.

Erling Haaland will be added to the already-talent-crazy Manchester City forward line, but could Lewandowski, who has outscored him in Germany, join him in the Premier League?

The Poland superstar, who has scored 34 goals in Germany’s top-flight this season, is a target of Klopp at Anfield, according to reports.

It would be something if that deal were to happen because both Liverpool and Manchester City would only dominate further.
