Luciano Becchio has reacted on Twitter after watching old side Leeds United lose 3-0 at home to Chelsea – as the threat of relegation becomes increasingly real for the Whites with just two games left to play.

Leeds came into the match knowing that defeat would see them remain in the bottom three. And, Everton faced already-relegated Watford. Burnley now have a game in hand, as Chelsea romped to an easy 3-0 win.

Mason Mount opened the scoring, before Dan James plunged Leeds into trouble with a straight red. A tackle branded as “terrible” by Paul Robinson. A second came from Christian Pulisic, and Romelu Lukaku got a third.

Leeds are behind Burnley on goal difference and two behind Everton, with only games against Brighton and Brentford left to play. Jesse Marsch’s side are in a world of trouble – but Becchio has sent a heartfelt message to fans.

Becchio reacted as Leeds lose to Chelsea – are Whites now down?

It is looking increasingly worrying. Leeds looked at the run of games against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City and sensed that it was always going to be tough to get anything. But they have made it hard for themselves.

Straight reds for Luke Ayling and now James leaves them without two crucial players. That, along with injured stars Patrick Bamford and Stuart Dallas. Brighton and Brentford are both in excellent form. It looks ominous.
