Speaking to Football Daily, Fabio Carvalho has named the one player he’s most desperate to play with as rumours of a transfer to Liverpool persist.
With a move to Liverpool seemingly on the horizon, you may have expected Carvalho to name a player like Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane as the one footballer he’s desperate to share the pitch with, or perhaps he’s even looking forward to a reunion with former Fulham man Harvey Elliott.
However, Carvalho gave a rather interesting answer, stating that the one man he wants to play alongside is his Fulham youth teammate Sylvester Jasper.
What’s been said?
Carvalho spoke about his dreams of playing alongside Jasper.
“Name one footballer you are desperate to play with?” Carvalho was asked.
“My boy Sylvester Jasper, because obviously we’ve played together in the academy and it’d mean the world to share the pitch with him,” Carvalho said.

Might never happen
Carvalho says he’s absolutely desperate to link-up with Jasper at the senior level, but the sad reality is that this may never happen.
Indeed, if the reports are correct and Carvalho is headed to Liverpool, he will be leaving Jasper behind at Fulham.
Even if he stayed at Fulham, he may never get to play with Jasper. After all, the Whites have just been promoted and it’s hard to imagine the Hibs loanee will get much of a game at Craven Cottage next season as the London club look to establish themselves back in the Premier League.
You never know, perhaps Liverpool will sign Jasper one day. After all, they have a real knack of signing Fulham youngsters after bringing Elliott and potentially Carvalho to Anfield in recent years.
