Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the summer transfer window as a replacement for Alexandre Lacazette, according to The Daily Mail.
The report has claimed that Arsenal have been tracking Calvert-Lewin for more than 12 months and plan to sign the England international striker in the summer.
French striker Lacazette is out of contract at the Gunners at the end of the season, and the North London club want the 25-year-old Everton star to take his position in the squad, according to the report.
Now, we have covered reports of Arsenal looking to sign Calvert-Lewin, described as “a proper goalscorer” by his Everton teammate Demarai Gray on Sky Sports in October 2021.
But now we are getting the report that Arsenal want the Everton star to specifically replace Lacazette.

Could Dominic Calvert-Lewin join Arsenal from Everton?
In our opinion, Arsenal could be able to sign Calvert-Lewin from Everton in the summer transfer window.
If Frank Lampard’s side get relegated to the Championship, then, of course, it would be very easy for the Gunners to get a deal done.
Even if Everton stay up, a big offer from Arsenal could be tempting for both Everton and Calvert-Lewin.
The Gunners could qualify for the Champions League next season and are a global brand.
Calvert-Lewin has has injury problems this season and has scored three goals in 12 Premier League starts this season.
The Everton striker scored 16 goals in the Premier League last season and 13 in the league in 2019-20.
