According to the Daily Mail, Kalvin Phillips could now leave Leeds for just £30m, with Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle interested.
What’s the story?
Well, Phillips is arguably one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and was even named England Player of the Year in 2021.
As a result of his rising reputation, Leeds placed a £60m price tag on their academy graduate, although they could now only receive half of that figure.
The Daily Mail believe most of the top players at Leeds – including Phillips – have relegation clauses written into their contracts.
It is said that Patrick Bamford, Raphinha and Phillips will all be available for around £30m if Jesse Marsch does take Leeds into the Championship.
This update comes after the Mirror claimed that Newcastle are willing to offer the 26-year-old a deal worth £120,000-a-week, with Steven Gerrard also keen to sign the Leeds No.23 this summer.

Elsewhere, it was 90min who revealed that Liverpool want Phillips, whereas The Telegraph claimed Antonio Conte wants him at Tottenham.
So far this season, the Yorkshire Pirlo – as he is affectionately known – has made just 19 appearances in all competitions, mainly due to a hamstring injury.
Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa or Newcastle could get a bargain
In our view, Leeds are set to be bombarded with offers if they go down.
Phillips put his name up in lights with some stunning displays for England at EURO 2020 alongside Declan Rice, and he is in the early days of his prime years aged 26.

Injury issues aside, there are few unattractive things about the Leeds maestro – in truth, if he hadn’t suffered that hamstring injury, the Whites probably wouldn’t be this close to the relegation zone.
£30m for the reigning England Player of the Year is a complete and utter bargain – whoever is fortunate enough to win the race could get their hands on the signing of the summer.
