Real Madrid midfielder Daniel Ceballos has criticised Sport on Twitter for saying that Leeds United winger Raphinha is better than his teammate Rodrygo.

Ceballos, who played on loan at Arsenal in England from Madrid, cannot believe that in an opinion piece Sport have claimed that Leeds winger Raphinha is better than Los Blancos younger Rodrygo.

Brazil international winger Rodrygo scored two goals against Manchester City in the Champions League this week to help Carlo Ancelotti’s side to the final of Europe’s premier club competition.

Sport have reported that Barcelona want to sign Raphinha from Leeds in the summer transfer window.

Raphinha has scored 10 goals and given three assists in 30 Premier League starts for Leeds this season

Rodrygo has scored three goals and given three assists in 13 La Liga starts and has scored five goals and provided two assists in four Champions League starts for Madrid so far this campaign.

Ceballos wrote, as translated from Spanish: “It’s really… the joke tells itself.”

Raphinha or Rodrygo?

In our opinion, Raphinha is at an advanced staged of his career, but in terms of talent, his Brazil international teammate Rodrygo is better.

After all, the 21-year-old is playing for arguably the biggest club in the world in Madrid and is scoring important goals.

Yes, Raphinha, 25, is a big player for Leeds and has been linked with Liverpool, but that Rodrygo joined Madrid in 2019 as a youngster shows how highly he is rated in the football community.
