Newcastle United are interested in signing Evan Ndicka from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer transfer window, according to Bild.

The report in the German publication has claimed that Frankfurt want to sell the defender, who is valued at €28 million (£23.67m).

Ndicka is not the only defender Newcastle have been linked with, as the summer transfer window draws near.

ABC have claimed that the Magpies plan to reignite their interest in Sevilla central defender Diego Carlos in the summer transfer window.

Newcastle are also reported to be keen on securing the services of Amos Pieper on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

Evan Ndicka would be a good signing for Newcastle

In our opinion, Ndicka would be a good signing for Newcastle, not just for now, but for years to come as well.

After all, the French defender is only 22 years of age.

The youngster has been a regular for his club over the years and has “developed phenomenally” and is “very attentive in the analysis of his own game”, according to Frankfurt head coach Adi Hütter in Bundesliga.com.

The 22-year-old has made 29 appearances in the Bundesliga so far this season.

The central defender has scored four goals and provided four assists in those games.

Ndicka has also made eight starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for Frankfurt this campaign.
