Pundit Ian Wright has hailed Gabriel Jesus for his latest Manchester City display – just as Arsenal seek a deal for the Brazilian striker.
City took on Watford at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday and absolutely destroyed the Hornets with a 5-1 thrashing.
Jesus was the star of the show, incredibly scouring four goals in an outstanding performance at the Etihad Stadium.
Jesus even won the spot kick for his goal from the penalty spot and also set up Rodri for a superb long-range strike.
To sum it up, this was a dream performance for Jesus as he grabbed his first Premier League hat-trick.
The display came just as rumours about the striker’s future at City began to really swirl.
The Athletic claimed over the weekend that Jesus is a top target for Arsenal this summer and talks have been going on for months.
David Ornstein has since added that Jesus seems keen on the move and talks with his representatives are pretty much ‘done and dusted’.
Mikel Arteta and Edu both know Jesus well and seemingly see him as an ideal capture to bolster Arsenal’s attack.
With Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah both out of contract this summer, Arsenal need to sign at least two strikers.

Jesus, who has often played on the right flank at City, would surely be given the chance to play centrally at Arsenal.
That has to appeal to Jesus, whose contract at City expires in the summer of 2023 – meaning he has just a year left on his deal.
With Arsenal positioning themselves for a deal, Jesus has now been praised by a Gunners legend in Ian Wright.
Wright has told Match of the Day that he thinks Jesus is ‘very unselfish’ and his versatility makes him very appealing.
Wright added that the ability to press defenders is why Pep Guardiola loves him – and you can imagine Mikel Arteta will feel similarly.
“Very much a player that plays for the team,” said Wright. “He is a very unselfish player, he’s somebody who can play on both wings, can play down the centre so it’s no surprise that people are interested in him. This is what Pep loves about him as well, the way he can close down and win that ball,” he added.
