Leeds United are considering a bid for Aberdeen defender Calvin Ramsay as they look to win the race for the Scottish wonderkid.
Back in January, The Press and Journal reported that Leeds had joined Tottenham Hotspur in scouting Ramsay. There is clearly a major belief that Ramsay will be on the move soon.
Yet if Tottenham were planning to launch a bid for Ramsay any time soon, they may need to do it very, very quickly.
The Sun now report that Leeds are launching a bid for Ramsay in the hope of securing his signature early into the window.
Ramsay can allegedly leave for just £3million, which seems very cheap indeed.
Another exciting young Scottish right back moved to the Premier League in January. Nathan Patterson left Rangers for Everton in a deal worth £16million.
Ramsay being available for less than a fourth of that price would be astonishing really given that Ramsay is incredibly highly rated.
Patterson had more European games and won the Scottish Premiership title with Rangers, so that will have added some cash to his price tag.
Ramsay, 18, was born in Aberdeen and has been on their books since before the age of 10.

Ramsay has now emerged into Aberdeen’s first team and has made 32 appearances this season.
With nine assists and one goal, Ramsay has shown what an attacking threat he can provide up the right flank.
Backed for a ‘massive future’ by former Hamilton Academical boss Brian Rice, Ramsay seems primed for stardom.
Leeds may not only sense a bargain but also their right back of the future, moulding Ramsay to take over from Luke Ayling one day.
Beating a number of Premier League clubs won’t be easy, but Leeds could make their bid very soon in an attempt to make Ramsay their first summer signing.
