Angers could accept just £12 million for Mohamed-Ali Cho with Premier League leaders Liverpool eyeing up a deal for the former Everton youngster, as reported by Sky Deutschland.
When reports first emerged earlier this season suggesting that the 18-year-old wonderkid had emerged as a transfer target for every major European club worth their salt, it was suggested that Angers would demand around £35 million.
The reality, however, seems to be rather different.
Perhaps Angers just wanted to ward off Cho’s many suitors. Perhaps they were hoping to kick-start a bidding war between Chelsea, Real Madrid, Atletico, Borussia Dortmund and co. Thus, raising the former England U16 winger’s price-tag to obscene levels.
According to Sky, however, Angers would privately be content with a windfall in the region of £12 million.
This would still see the Ligue 1 outfit make a substantial profit from a player who, after arriving from Everton in 2020, became the second youngest player in France ever to sign a professional contract, behind only Real Madrid’s former Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga.

Could a former Everton wonderkid join Liverpool?
French publication RMC Sport claimed last week that Liverpool were looking to bring Cho back to Merseyside. Talk about rubbing salt in Evertonian wounds.
Losing Cho, one of Europe’s most talented teenagers, was frustrating enough. The prospect of Goodison Park’s one-that-got-away honing his talents under Jurgen Klopp – a man with a remarkable track record when turning talented youngsters into elite-level footballers – would almost be the definition of adding insult to injury.

“In what he can do and in the way he plays, he’s the Kylian Mbappe of Angers,” claims Abdel Bouhazama, Les Scoistes’ academy director.
Atletico Madrid, Marseille, Leicester City and Southampton are also keen on a winger who’s explosive pace and trademark trickery have justified comparisons with arguably the finest footballer on planet earth right now.
