According to Sky Germany, Thilo Kehrer now wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain, a year after Arsenal submitted a bid for his services.
What’s the story?
Well, in March 2021, it was revealed by Paris Fans that Arsenal had launched a £7.9m offer for the Germany international.
PSG spent £33m on Kehrer in 2018, so understandably, the Parisians rejected the offer.
Now, however, they may have to accept less than £7.9m.

Kehrer’s contract expires in June 2023, and Sky Germany believe he has no plans to stay at the Parc des Princes.
The 25-year-old wants to leave as a free agent, but PSG have no interest in letting him go for nothing.
Therefore, a departure from Paris seems very likely to happen this summer.
So far this season, the former Schalke 04 defender has made 28 appearances in all competitions under Mauricio Pochettino.
Arsenal should ignore Thilo Kehrer

In our view, Arsenal no longer have a need for the German.
Since that £7.9m bid was submitted, the Gunners have signed Ben White to boost their centre-back department.
Mikel Arteta also brought Takehiro Tomiyasu to the Emirates Stadium, who is capable of playing as a central defender.

Therefore, unless Arsenal lose a centre-back this summer, they shouldn’t bring Kehrer to north London – that money could be better spent elsewhere.
Of course, he would be a significant upgrade on Rob Holding in terms of being a backup option.
However, we highly doubt Kehrer would leave PSG to sit on Arsenal’s bench, so we’d be very surprised if the Gunners resurrect their interest.
