Jermaine Jenas has praised Tottenham Hotspur central defender Joe Rodon on Twitter for his performance for Wales against Austria at the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday evening.
Rodon, who cost Tottenham £11 million in transfer fees in October 2020 (BBC Sport), helped Wales to a 2-1 win against Austria in the 2022 World Cup qualifying – European – Path A semi-final.
Former Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale, who is struggling for playing time at Real Madrid at the moment, scored both the goals.
Jenes, a former Tottenham midfielder, believes that Rodon was superb for Wales at the centre of their three-match defence.
Praise for Tottenham and Wales centre-back Joe Rodon
In our opinion, Rodon needs to consider his future at Tottenham at the end of the season.
We saw against Austria just how good the 24-year-old Spurs centre-back can be.

But he is struggling for playing time at Tottenham under head coach Antonio Conte.
The former Swansea City star has played only 13 times in the Premier League so far in his career.
Rodon has made just one substitute appearance in the Premier League all season.
We do not think that Rodon should waste time sitting on the bench at Tottenham.
He is much better than that.
