Michael Owen has raved about reported Tottenham Hotspur summer transfer target Gareth Bale on Twitter after watching him in action for Wales against Austria.
The former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker was impressed by the free-kick goal from Bale, linked with a move to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in the summer transfer window, for Wales in their 2-1 win against Austria.
The 32-year-old Madrid winger scored a brilliant free kick in the 25th minute and added a second goal to the tally on 51 minutes.
In February, TuttoMercatoWeb reported that Bale has already signed a pre-contract agreement to rejoin Tottenham Hotspur for a third time.
Bale moved to Tottenham from Southampton in 2006 and signed for to Madrid in 2013.
The 32-year-old had a loan spell at Spurs in 2020-21.

Gareth Bale could still do a job at Tottenham Hotspur
In our opinion, Bale showed against Austria that he can still do a job for Tottenham, if he makes the move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.
The winger has not played much club football this season, and it was clear against Wales in the second half that Bale is not exactly in prime match fitness at the moment.
However, the quality of Bale on the ball cannot be ignored, and he could be a shrewd addition to Antonio Conte’s side.
