Newcastle United have three goalkeepers on their transfer wish list – and it’s now thought that Manchester United’s Dean Henderson is the top target.
The Magpies spent big in January and there is likely to be even more spent this summer as PIF go for big signings.
A new goalkeeper appears to be a top priority for Eddie Howe and the rumours are staring to mount up ahead of the summer window.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to claim that Newcastle have three names on their goalkeeping wish list.
The only stopper named by Romano was Henderson, with the Italian suggesting that Henderson wants to be a starting goalkeeper next season.
Newcastle wanted Henderson in January so that claim does add up, whilst reports claim he is particularly interested in joining the Magpies.
Who could the other two goalkeepers be? Well, two other names stand out in terms of recent rumours – and both, like Henderson, are backups in the Premier League.
Arsenal’s Bernd Leno and Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga are both believed to be on Newcastle’s wish list as they chase first-team football.
The two stoppers have been replaced by Aaron Ramsdale and Edouard Mendy respectively and make seek summer transfers.

Newcastle can offer an escape route but it sounds like they have already settled on their top goalkeeper target.
The Northern Echo claim that Henderson is the number one target above anybody else and is the preferred option ‘by some distance’.
Henderson, 25, hasn’t played a single minute of Premier League action this season and is in danger of throwing away his potential at Old Trafford.
Henderson has already proven himself as a starter at Sheffield United and was hailed as ‘exceptional’ there by teammate Sander Berge.
Now desperate to prove that again, don’t be surprised to see Newcastle pounce for Henderson this summer.
