Sassuolo have joined Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Aberdeen defender Calvin Ramsay at the end of the season.
That’s according to reports from The Daily Record, who claim that Sassuolo are looking towards the Scottish market for new signings.
A Sassuolo scout allegedly watched Ramsay in action for Aberdeen against Hibernian over the weekend, also watching Hibs ace Josh Doig.
Sassuolo could lose former Celtic right back Jeremy Toljan this summer and have now started to look for replacements.
Ramsay is one possible option but actually scored an own goal during the game, inadvertently turning Chris Cadden’s cross into his own net.
That wasn’t Ramsay’s greatest moment but this latest signal of interest just goes to shows the talent Ramsay has in his locker.
There is plenty of Premier League interest too with The Press and Journal reporting in January that Leeds United and Tottenham have been eyeing up Ramsay.
Add in interest from Leicester City, Southampton and even Manchester United and Ramsay finds himself in demand.
Ramsay is considered to be one of the top young talents in Scottish football with former Hamilton Academical boss Brian Rice tipping him for a ‘massive future’.

Tottenham will surely be in the market for another right wing back over the summer with Emerson Royal yet to impress.
Ramsay could be somewhat similar to Pape Matar Sarr in terms of signing him and loaning him out until he is ready for the Premier League.
Leeds need some new energy at the back and Ramsay could be developed as the long-term right back at Elland Road.
Yet with Sassuolo now in the race for Ramsay too, it looks like Leeds and Tottenham will face a major battle for his signature.
