West Ham United continue to be linked with Udinese winger Gerard Deulofeu – and he has been praised for his display against Napoli.

The Hammers may need to look at potential winger signings just in case Jarrod Bowen ends up leaving in the near future.

Reports in Italy have been suggesting that David Moyes fancies bringing winger Deulofeu to East London given the fears over Bowen.

Calciomercato claim that West Ham have been told to fork out £17million for Deulofeu this summer.

Deulofeu has Premier League experience with Everton and Watford but has never really managed to fulfil his potential.

A speedy and tricky winger who can be creative and incredibly dangerous on his day, Deulofeu has proven to be an inconsistent talent.

The Spaniard featured for Udinese away at title-chasing Napoli on Saturday and opened the scoring with a superb finish.

Deulofeu fired a right-footed strike beyond David Ospina, but Udinese couldn’t hang on and ended up losing 2-1.

West Ham may have been watching Deulofeu’s performance ahead of a potential move and will surely have been impressed.

Deulofeu, 28, took his tally for the season to nine goals and has been hailed by the Italian press for his display against Napoli.

Tuttomercatoweb claim that Deulofeu turned in ‘majestic performance’ for Udinese, adding that he was ‘excellent’ against Napoli.

His seven out of 10 rating was the highest in the Udinese side, but Deulofeu couldn’t do it all by himself as Udinese fell to defeat.

Udinese aren’t quite safe from relegation just yet, so Deulofeu will need to turn in more great performances to keep his side up.

West Ham will surely be looking on with interest throughout, with Deulofeu potentially being primed for a Premier League return.
