Super-agent Pini Zahavi will monitor Morgan Sanson over the remainder of the season and may advise the midfielder seeks a transfer, should he fail to break into the Aston Villa side.
That’s according to Birmingham Live, who report Zahavi is assessing the idea of an exit for his client due to the Frenchman’s lack of game time. Sanson has so far played a total 280 minutes of Premier League football this term, having started just two of nine appearances.
Steven Gerrard has proven reluctant to unleash Sanson in the starting line-up since taking charge at Villa Park last November. While all nine of his outings have come since they fired Dean Smith, he has opened just one of 10 possible top-flight games since the start of 2022.

Additionally, Gerrard has opted to leave Sanson as an unused substitute on five occasions already this year. While only his outing off the bench against Brentford on New Years’ Day lasted more than 20 minutes. Each of his last three over eight matches have been for less.
Zahavi assessing exit idea for sought-after Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Sanson
Gerrard still values what Sanson can offer Aston Villa, and Zahavi’s client remains keen to establish himself at Villa Park. He believes a successful career in claret-and-blue remains a realistic possibility, and will remain patient trying to force his way into the starting line-up.

But Zahavi is also paying close attention as he looks ahead to brokering transfers in the off-season market. He will use what opportunities Gerrard gives before the end of the term to form his advice on an exit. Sanson will still have three years on his contract in the summer.
Clubs are also already circling with an eye on a transfer with Aston Villa for Sanson in the summer sales. Jeunes Footeux report Crystal Palace lead a clutch of English clubs keen on the £16m ex-Marseille star. LOSC Lille and Rennes could also explore his return to France.
