Gary Neville has said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:44pm, March 14, 2022) that he thinks that Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United could get relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.

The former Manchester United star was not impressed by how Leeds played against Aston Villa last week.

The Sky Sports pundit has admitted that he did not watch Leeds’s win against Norwich City in the Premier League at the weekend.

Leeds are 16th in the Premier League table at the moment with 26 points from 29 matches, four points above third-from-bottom Watford, who have 29 games.

Neville said: “I watched them against Villa on Thursday night. I thought they were awful. I thought they were awful.

“Obviously, Norwich are the worst team in the division. Honestly, I still think they are in big trouble, big big trouble.

“To be fair, I didn’t see the game against Norwich, so I am talking without seeing that, but I am talking from what I saw against Villa on Thursday night.”

Could Leeds United get relegated from Premier League?

In our view, the win against Norwich has enhanced Leeds’s chances of escaping the drop from the Premier League.

Yes, the Whites are still very much in danger, but the way they scored a late goal will have enhanced the confidence and belief among the players and the fans.

Leeds needed that win.

Norwich are as good as relegated from the Premier League, and it looks likely that Burnley will join them in the Championship.

So this leaves one more team that Leeds have to finish ahead of in the league table.

Surely one of Brentford, Everton and Watford will end up below Leeds…
