Jack Wilshere has said on Stadium Astro that Arsenal central defender Rob Holding is very aggressive in training.
The former Arsenal midfielder has also noted that Holding, who is essentially a squad player at the Gunners, is very vocal.
Wilshere was training at London Colney with Arsenal for several weeks until recently.
The midfielder said: “Rob Holding’s sort of similar. I am not saying that he is like Tony Adams, but in a sort of a similar way he leads, aggressive in training, he is vocal, he demands out of people.”
What should Rob Holding do about Arsenal future?
In our view, Holding should consider his future at Arsenal at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old is out of contract at Arsenal in the summer of 2024.
Ben White and Gabriel are the clear two main centre-backs at the North London club, who will also have William Saliba back from his loan spell at the end of the season.
Holding has made only four starts and just four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season.
The 26-year-old also played five times in the Carabao Cup and once in the FA Cup for Mikel Arteta’s side this campaign.
Holding will hit his peak soon, and we think that the Arsenal defender should at least consider a transfer to a club where he would play regularly.
