Manchester City are now reportedly interested in AS Monaco youngster Mamadou Coulibaly, who is also believed to be on Tottenham’s radar ahead of the summer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 17-year-old midfielder is drawing interest from numerous top European clubs, with City and AC Milan keeping tabs on Coulibaly, who is set to leave Monaco this summer for free.
The teenager’s contract is set to expire, and Coulibaly has shown no intent on signing a new deal with Monaco ahead of the end of the season, and Tottenham could soon have to face competition from City for the youngster’s signature.
As per Sport Witness, Coulibaly’s style of play has drawn comparison to Real Madrid superstar Eduardo Camavinga, even despite the Paris-born midfielder yet to play a single minute of professional football for Monaco.
With Pep Guardiola now seemingly interested in adding Coulibaly to City’s already stacked youth ranks, Tottenham face a huge battle to sign the French prospect, with competition only likely to increase from here.
Indeed, Milan’s interest alone will cause some issues for Tottenham for Coulibaly, yet with City now in the competition, the Frenchman is set to become the centre of attention for many top clubs in Europe as the summer transfer window draws ever closer.
Tottenham must beat City and Milan to Coulibaly signing this summer

With three major clubs interested in Coulibaly, the youngster will have his pick of the bunch this summer as the Monaco star heads into the summer as a free agent, yet Tottenham should be looking to beat City and Milan to the midfielder’s signature.
Coulibaly is regarded as one of the top talents in France, and with City and Milan interested in the youngster, signing the teenager will be a huge coup for Coulibaly, with Fabio Paratici eager to add exciting prospects to the club’s academy ranks this summer.
