Gary Neville has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:04pm, March 14, 2022) that he has been left stunned by Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.

The former Manchester United defender has been impressed by the impact that Diaz has made at Liverpool since his move from FC Porto in the January transfer window.

The Sky Sports pundit has recounted his experience of watching Diaz live in person for the first time during the Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Chelsea.

Neville has also hailed the Liverpool attacking unit that includes Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota, Diaz and Sadio Mane.

The pundit said on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports Premier League (7:04pm, March 14, 2022): “Liverpool have five players upfront who are an absolute joke.

“This lad, Diaz, honestly, I saw him for the first time live in the Carabao Cup final, I couldn’t believe what I was watching for a player who has just entered into English football. He is absolutely sensational.”

Luis Diaz hugely impressive for Liverpool

In our view, Diaz has been hugely impressive for Liverpool in the handful of games that he has played.

The Colombia international winger is already starting regularly for the Reds and is delivering the goods.

The Liverpool no. 23 has scored two goals in five Premier League matches.

Diaz was also stunning in the Carabao Cup final, which Liverpool won.

Liverpool paid £37 million to FC Porto for Diaz in January, and it seems that they have struck gold.

Diaz has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water, and he could play a big role in Liverpool’s quest to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season.
