Jermaine Jenas has noted on Match of the Day on BBC One (10:49pm, March 12, 2022) that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was not happy with Luis Diaz on one occasion against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder said that Liverpool manager Klopp was criticising Diaz when he lost possession of the ball during the Premier League game on Saturday afternoon and started moaning.
Klopp told the 25-year-old Colombia international winger to stop complaining about the referee not giving a foul and to get the ball back.
MOTD pundit Jenas has noted that since that incident, Diaz started to do what he is supposed to as a Liverpool player.
Liverpool won 2-0.
Jenas said about Diaz: “He is a special talent. He seems to be growing game on game. He got a little bit of rollicking of his manager early on in the game.
“Have a look here. He loses the ball and decides to moan, and Jurgen Klopp says, ‘Hang on a minute. We don’t do that here remember. Get yourself back and get the ball for us’.”

Luis Diaz a star for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool
In our view, Diaz has been superb for Liverpool and is doing well for the Reds at the moment.
The former FC Porto star has hit the ground running at Liverpool since his transfer in the January transfer window.
Diaz scored for Liverpool against Brighton with a brave effort, and we think that the attacker is rightly getting all the plaudits.
