Jordan Henderson has raved about his Liverpool teammate Luis Diaz on BT Sport 1 (2:29pm, March 12, 2022) following the match against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Liverpool and England international midfielder Diaz has said that Diaz was “top class” against Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The 25-year-old Colombia international winger scored for the Reds.

Liverpool won 2-0.

Henderson has noted that while Luiz does well when he is in possession of the ball, he also works hard when he does not have it.

The Englishman said about Diaz: “Again, top class. Like, what we have said for weeks now. He has come in and done fantastically well. With the ball, the quality he possesses, without the ball, the work-rate.”

Quality player

In our view, Diaz has been superb for Liverpool since his move from FC Porto in the January transfer window.

Liverpool paid an initial £37 million transfer fee for the Colombian winger (Sky Sports), and so far, he is proving to be a good investment.

Diaz is starting games regularly now, and that is not easy when you consider that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota at his disposal.

Roberto Firmino is also coming back from injury.

Diaz’s arrival has enhanced Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League and the Champions League this season.
