Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has told Sky Sports that central defender Rob Holding thinks that he can score 20 goals a season if he plays as a striker.
Ramsdale, who joined Arsenal from Sheffield United in the summer of 2021, made the comments while discussing the finishing abilities of his Arsenal teammates.
Holding is a central defender by trade, and, understandably, his finishing is rated at 30 on FIFA.
England international goalkeeper Ramsdale responded to that rating by saying that Holding has told him that he could score 20 goals per season if he played upfront.

Ramsdale told Holding: “You said you would be a 20-goal a season finisher if he is upfront.”
We do not think that Holding will score 20 goals a season if he played upfront for Arsenal.
After all, he is a defender.

Yes, Holding may have good finishing in training, but it is very different doing it in a competitive game.
In 77 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, Holding has not scored a single goal, but he has hit the woodwork once.
We actually find it very encouraging that Holding is confident that he can score 20 goals a season if he plays as a striker.
It shows the mentality of the 26-year-old.
