Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez bagged a screamer against Liverpool on Tuesday night amid links to both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Inter were 2-0 down from the first leg of their Champions League clash with Liverpool and faced an uphill battle coming back at Anfield.
The Italian side did win 1-0 on Tuesday night with Martinez smashed a long-range screamer into the top corner of Alisson’s net.
Alexis Sanchez’ red card effectively killed off Inter’s hopes of a real comeback, but they at least claimed a win on the night.
Martinez showed his quality with a stunning goal and that was certainly his best moment over the two legs.
For most of the first and second leg, Martinez was well-shackled by Liverpool. At times, the Argentina international even looked a little scared of taking on Virgil van Dijk.
There were a couple of chances for Martinez – possibly easier than the one he scored – but that goal will be enough to convince some teams of his class.
Martinez is wanted by a number of Premier League clubs and they may well have been watching him against Liverpool.
FC Inter 1908 reported last month that Arsenal had made a first move to beat Tottenham Hotspur to Martinez’s signature.
Arsenal are desperate for a new striker but Martinez did work with Antonio Conte at Inter, which may give Tottenham a chance.

Branded ‘spectacular’ by Lionel Messi, we didn’t quite see that from Martinez in this two-legged affair with Liverpool.
Rio Ferdinand has now offered his take on Martinez, telling BT Sport (08/03, 10pm) that he thought the striker had conjured up a ‘fabulous’ and ‘brilliant’ goal.
Ferdinand added that he felt Martinez barely even touched the ball across two legs but was able to come up with a moment of magic – something for those interested clubs to consider.
“It was a fabulous strike, brilliant strike,” said Ferdinand. “Martinez hadn’t touched the ball really over two legs, but comes up with a finish like that.”
