Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool watched Jonathan David in action against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea, according to But! Football Club.
It has been reported that Arsenal and Liverpool scouted David when he played for Lille against Chelsea in the Champions League last month.
It was the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 and was held at Stamford Bridge in London on February 22.
Chelsea won 2-0.
David started the match for Lille.
Defending Italian champions Inter Milan are also reportedly keen on the Canada international, who could cost up to €60 million (£49.48 million).

In our view, Arsenal need David more than Liverpool, and perhaps that could help the Gunners.
The 22-year-old striker is one of the best young players in Europe, and he can only get better.
The Lille no. 9 has scored 12 goals in Ligue 1 and three goals in the Champions League so far this season.
Liverpool have a formidable attack, with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz all options for manager Jurgen Klopp.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left Barcelona in the January transfer window, and fellow strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season.
