Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has told Marca that reported Tottenham Hotspur summer transfer target Gareth Bale will leave in the summer transfer window.

Bale, a former Tottenham star, is out of contract at Spanish and European giants Madrid at the end of the season.

TuttoMercatoWeb reported that Bale has agreed a pre-contract with Tottenham and will return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer of 2022.

We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

Bale, now 32, joined Madrid from Tottenham in 2013 and returned to Spurs on a loan spell last season.

Ancelotti told Marca about Bale: “Bale hasn’t disrespected his teammates. He trains well, he’s professional.

“He wants to end things here as he deserves to, because he’s helped us to win the Champions League and he’s done important things. I think finishing things well here would be good for his career.”

Gareth Bale could return to Tottenham a winner

In our view, Bale could return to Tottenham as a La Liga and Champions League winner this season.

Now, of course, we know that the 32-year-old has won the La Liga twice and the Champions League on four occasions with Madrid in his career already.

Los Blancos are at the top of the La Liga table at the moment and will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last 16.

So, there is a chance that Madrid could win La Liga and the Champions League again this season.
