Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has admitted to Football.London that maybe he is making a mistake not picking Joe Rodon.
Conte made the comments about Rodon after Tottenham’s Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.
Tottenham went down 2-0 to Wolves at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Former Swansea City central defender Rodon did not play.
The 24-year-old was an unused substitute for Tottenham.
Davinson Sanchez, Cristian Romero and Ben Davies were the three centre-backs at the start of the game.
Antonio Conte on Joe Rodon
Conte told Football.London about Rodon: “We are talking about a really good guy. His commitment is very high but in this moment maybe, maybe I’m making a mistake to pick different players but my evaluation is trying to put on the pitch the best player. If I didn’t do this maybe I did different consideration.”

Should Rodon get a chance?
In our view, there is a chance that Tottenham head coach Conte could give Rodon a chance soon.
Spurs have now lost their last three matches and have looked vulnerable defensively.
Conte could well make changes at the back in the upcoming games.
Now, Rodon has not got a proper run in the team.
In our view, Conte should hand the Welshman a chance.
We will not find out if Rodon can cut at this level until and unless he is given enough chances to show what he is capable of.
The Welshman has made 13 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
