Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said on ITV (2:12pm, February 6, 2022) that Luis Diaz did not suffer a major injury against Cardiff City at Anfield.
Klopp has said that Liverpool winger Diaz suffered cuts and bruises in the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Cardiff at home on Sunday afternoon.
The Colombia international winger came on as a substitute in the second half.
Diaz, who joined Liverpool from FC Porto in the January transfer window, was involved in the second goal, as the Reds won 3-1.
The 25-year-old suffered a knee injury when Cardiff defender Aden Flint accidentally went on it, but in the end, it was nothing to be worried about.
Klopp said about Diaz on ITV (2:12pm, February 6, 2022): “Luis came on, cuts and bruises. Everybody told him, ‘Welcome to England’. There will be a scar so he knows what he did in the first game.”

Encouraging Liverpool debut for Luis Diaz
In our view, Diaz played well for Liverpool after he came on and gave a good account of himself on his debut for the Reds
The Colombian looked very likely and hit the ground running at Anfield.
There were no signs that Diaz was struggling with the pace of the game, and that bodes well for the future.
Now, of course, we know that Cardiff are a Championship team, and there will be bigger tests for Diaz.
But for now, in our opinion, Liverpool fans should be encouraged by what they saw of Diaz against Cardiff.
