Jack Wilshere has said on talkSPORT (5:46pm, February 4, 2022) that he would love to play for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Wilshere is a free agent at the moment and is training with Arsenal.

The former Arsenal midfielder travelled with the Gunners to Dubai for their recent training camp.

The 30-year-old is a former Arsenal player, and the English midfielder has said that he would love to be back playing for the Gunners.

Wilshere said on alkSPORT (5:46pm, February 4, 2022) when asked about joining Arsenal: “I would love it to be Arsenal, but I am not in control of that.”

Should Arsenal bring back Jack Wilshere?

In our view, Arsenal should at least consider handing Wilshere a short-term deal.

Wilshere is a very good midfielder who has been training for the past few months and is in top shape at the moment.

Now, we know from Arsenal’s failed pursuit of Juventus star Arthur Melo that they are keen on a midfielder.

So, why don’t the Gunners simply hand Wilshere a deal until the end of the season?

Wilshere clearly wants to play for Arsenal, and his presence in and around the dressing room would help the team as well.

Arsenal are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four this season, and a player of Wilshere’s quality would help the Gunners in their quest for a Champions League place.
